accomplishments so far in this school year. The Master Portfolio allows parents
to observe students' mission statements, short and long term goals, career development

dedication and enthusiasm of the parent and child make this evening a success.

STUDENT GOVERNMENT REPORT
by Ms. C. Dyck
We have continued to be busy. Before the Christmas break we had a count down to Christmas which involved daily activities in which the students were asked to participate. It was a lively time around the high school! Our ÒmistletoeÓ video was a hit! We continue to raise funds to put towards our Fire Fighters fund. January has begun, and we have already had the Varsity Girls basketball tournament and the ÒHome OpenerÓ for both the Varsity Basketball teams. We are continuing to run the 50/50 at the hockey games. Thank you, to the people who help out with this project. February will be very busy! We are planning the winter formal, mini Olympics, Valentine activities and more. We are always working on finding new ways to help the students enjoy their high school experience, while supporting a good cause or two.
RECOGNITION, AND A THANK-YOU GRADE 3 PARENTS
by Mrs. E. Casselman
I got a goat for Christmas!!!!!!!!! Thanks to all the grade 3 parents who sent a money gift towards buying an animal to be given on my behalf. We have money to buy a goat! It is an honour to be able to transform a family's life by supplying them with milk. Goats are easy to raise, even in the harshest climates. A goat gives 250 liters of milk a year, can be bred to produce 2 or 3 kids annually and their manure is great fertilizer.
